Quickpen allows you to capture handwriting and drawings from your touchscreen to graphic files. It is useful during lectures and presentations, as it is not limited to text. Quickpen's focus is on simplicity and reliability. Right after starting it you can always immediately start writing. There is no button that could lead to an accidential deletion of data. Quickpen's source code can be downloaded from github.
Install quickpen
on an x86 computer
- download the source code
- unpack it
unzip tstaerk-quickpen-*.zip
- build it
cd tstaerk-quickpen-* qmake && make && cp quickpen /bin
on a Nokia N900
- set up a maemo compile environment, see https://wiki.maemo.org/Documentation/Maemo_5_Final_SDK_Installation
- download the source code
- unpack it
unzip tstaerk-quickpen-*.zip
- build it
cd tstaerk-quickpen-* qmake && make
- copy the resulting binary to your Nokia phone:
scp quickpen root@nokia:/bin

Develop quickpen
We develop quickpen using QtCreator.
N900
desktop file has to be placed into /usr/share/applications/hildon/quickpen.desktop
icons must be under /usr/share/icons/hicolor, there under the folder of your icon's size
